UQM Technologies Begins Volume Production of Its PowerPhase Pro® Electric Propulsion System

UQM Technologies, Inc. (NYSE Amex: UQM) has begun volume production of its PowerPhase Pro® electric motors and controllers. The Company’s high-volume production line has a capacity of 40,000 units on two shifts. “The launch of volume production of our electric motors and controllers marks a new milestone in the history of UQM Technologies and is a significant step in the broad commercialization of our electric propulsion systems,” said Eric Ridenour, UQM Technologies’ President and Chief Executive Officer.

UQM Technologies Reports Second Quarter Operating Results

UQM Technologies, Inc. (NYSE Amex: UQM), a developer of alternative-energy technologies, announced today operating results for the quarter and six month period ended September 30, 2011. “During the quarter we completed volume production launch preparations for our PowerPhase Pro® 100 electric propulsion system including finalizing negotiations with suppliers in our international supply chain and completing final throughput validation and balancing of our production lines for motors and motor controllers,” said Eric R. Ridenour, UQM Technologies’ President and Chief Executive Officer. “Late in the quarter we launched volume production of this electric propulsion system, which we expect will result in a substantial increase in our product sales revenue over the next several quarters.

UQM Technologies PowerPhase Electric Propulsion Systems Will Drive 100 UPS Delivery Vehicles Being Built by Electric Vehicle s International

UQM Technologies, Inc. (NYSE Amex: UQM) has received an order for 100 additional PowerPhase® HD Select 200 systems from Electric Vehicles International (EVI) that will drive all-electric UPS delivery vans built by EVI. This purchase is in addition to systems previously delivered and integrated into EVI medium-duty trucks and walk-in vans. “We’re very pleased that UPS has selected the all-electric EVI delivery van for the expansion of its all-electric delivery van fleet program,” said Eric Ridenour, UQM Technologies President and Chief Executive Officer.

Acting Under Secretary of Energy Director Arun Majumdar to Tour UQM Technologies Facility

UQM Technologies, Inc. (NYSE Amex: UQM) announced today that Dr. Arun Majumdar, Acting Under Secretary and Director of the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) will tour the company’s Longmont, Colorado, product development and manufacturing facility on Friday, January 13, 2012. Cooperative programs with the DOE currently include a $45.1 million grant under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) that the company has utilized in the commercialization of its PowerPhase Pro® electric propulsion systems.

UQM Technologies Reports Third Quarter Operating Results

UQM Technologies, Inc. (NYSE Amex: UQM), a developer of alternative-energy technologies, announced today operating results for the quarter and nine month period ended December 31, 2011. “Operating results for the third quarter were positively impacted by shipments of our PowerPhase Pro® electric propulsion systems to CODA Automotive. Product sales for the quarter rose 30 percent contributing to a reduction in net loss,” said Eric R. Ridenour, UQM Technologies’ President and Chief Executive Officer.

Goldfish 23 All-Electric eFUSION Boat Powered by UQM® Propulsion System Wins the 2012 Boat of the Year Innovation Award at the Dusseldorf Boat Show

UQM Technologies, Inc. (NYSE Amex: UQM) PowerPhase® Select 145 electric propulsion system powered the Goldfish 23 all-electric eFUSION boat to win the innovation award category of the 2012 European Powerboat of the Year award at the Dusseldorf Boat Show. The Goldfish 23 foot eFUSION tender recently achieved a top speed of 47 knots during testing in Norway. UQM worked with ReGen Nautics, Inc., based in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, on the program.
